The $10 million restoration of the Franklin Building, 50 Public Square, is getting state and national recognition.

The project will be presented with the Preservation of New York State's Excellence in Historic Preservation award May 12 in New York City.

The project also is a finalist for an award from the National Development Corp. that would be presented in May in Washington, D.C., and one from the CNY Business Journal. This month, it gained an honorable mention from the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition for its Excellence Award.
