Neighbors of Watertown's Housing Counselor Angelica Griswold has been invited to participate in nationwide panel developing exams for counselors to become HUD certified.
Individuals providing housing counseling in connection with HUD programs must be certified by taking and passing an examination administered by HUD's Office of Housing Counseling (HUD certified housing counselors);
Angelica was asked to be part of a national team of professionals who help develop future exams by participating in the following activities:
- Item Writing – Item writers create the items (questions) that are used on the exam.
- Item Review Panel – Item reviewers examine the items (questions) that are created by item writers.
- Item Scoring Panel – The item scoring panel recommends passing standards.
- Develop and/or review items for possible inclusion on a revised certification exam.
"This is definitely a big feather in Angelica’s cap. Neighbors is proud to have her on our team," said Jason M. Stowell, Compliance and Operations Director.
